So last night we threw down the final i-pod battle of the year and it was a shit show. Not only did the teams come dressed to the nines, they brought more props then a bondage show in Amsterdam. After 3 sweaty rounds of intense battling the Danny Glovers (above, don't mind the raised arms no Hitler references were made) came out victorious destroying every team they faced. Starting off with some theatrics the boys threw down Loose Yourself (Eminem) and were so confident in their second round that they brought out some classics including Stand By Me and I'll be Missing You. In the finals they pulled off a clutch finisher when they dropped Live Your Life in the famous i-pod switch. Congrats boys, a job well done.
We also want to give some love to the girls in French Connection who battled well earning them second place. Thanks to the other teams that competed. You fought well.
If an i-pod battle wasn't enough, our good friends Ruby Coast threw down one of their best sets Ottawa has seen after an epic i-pod battle of their own against the new champs. I don't think that much sweat has ever been left on the dance floor of 1848. Their set consisted of old and new songs alike, all tight as...well you know. Stand outs included I Live With Monsters, Town to Province (thank you boys), and Creep Me Out. Ruby Coast will be back in Ottawa soon enough, so make sure you go see them wherever they play.
